Liquid Satin Fabric and SS27 Trends: A Buyer's Guide
Liquid satin is a light, fluid satin-weave fabric. Viscose-silk satin suits dresses, blouses, skirts and slips. What SS27 trends mean for buyers.
Est. 1978 · İstanbul
Family-owned textile company · Osmanbey, Istanbul
For nearly five decades we have been weaving linen, cotton, wool and denim for the world’s most considered fashion and interior brands.
The mill
Saymin Tekstil began in 1978 with a single shuttle loom and a simple belief: that a good fabric should feel as honest in ten years as it does on the first day.
Today our vertically integrated mill handles every step — from yarn selection and weaving to dyeing, finishing and inspection — under one roof, so every meter we ship carries the same standard.

Heritage
“I never wanted to be the biggest mill. I wanted to be the one people trust.”
Sabri Karataş — Founder & Master Weaver
Sabri Karataş sets up a single shuttle loom in a rented workshop in Istanbul, weaving herringbone for local tailors.
Demand grows by word of mouth. The family opens its first 24-loom weaving hall.
First export shipments to Italy and Germany mark the start of our European partnerships.
An in-house dye and finishing plant makes Saymin Tekstil fully vertically integrated.
Solar panels now cover 40% of our energy use.
120+ looms, 35 export countries — and the founder still walks the weaving floor every morning.
Materials
We work with natural and recycled fibres, chosen for how they feel, how they perform and how long they last.
Normandy & Belgian flax
Breathable, cool and remarkably durable — linen softens beautifully over time.
Aegean & organic GOTS
Long-staple Aegean cotton spun for strength, softness and deep, even colour.
RWS-certified merino
Naturally insulating and resilient, ideal for structured tailoring and outerwear.
Rope-dyed in-house
Rope-dyed cotton yarns that fade with character and wear like a second skin.
GRS-certified post-consumer
Recycled polyester and cotton blends that close the loop without compromise.
Responsibility
Responsible manufacturing is woven into everything we do — from carefully chosen raw materials to the water we return to the river.
Energy from on-site solar
Process water recycled
Rolls lab-tested before shipping
We have worked with Saymin Tekstil for over fifteen years. Their linen is consistent season after season, and their team treats our collections as if they were their own.
